Job Description
New Business Sales Executive
Pocklington, York
£18,500 + Uncapped Commission (£27,000 OTE 1st yr) + benefits
Our client is the publisher of ‘On Your Doorstep’ magazine – a local magazine that offers all types of businesses the opportunity to advertise their produces and services more cost effectively than local press and it is distributed by Royal Mail to all households within a geographical area. They are continually growing their readership and client base and have established a strong reputation.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the manager, you will be contacting potential new advertisers with the view to building the monthly magazines and launching new publications. The companies that you will be contact will range in size from small businesses through to larger multi-site businesses, all looking to attract local customers to their business. You will be responsible for:
€¢ Gaining new clients through cold calling
€¢ Account management
€¢ Face to face presentations
€¢ Copy and design approval
€¢ Achieving sales revenue targets
ABOUT YOU
You will have a solid sales background in a telephone based role, ideally in a business to business environment. You will be an excellent communicator, with good negotiating skills, be commercially aware and be focused on building strong fruitful relationships with your clients. You will be self motivated, driven by results and be able to work on your own initiative.
Due to the nature of this role you will need to hold a valid UK driving licence.
